During the course of the last couple of days I have had the opportunity to look at a wide range of the work of Angie Lewin, artist, printmaker, textile designer and all round inspiration. I have seen her work before but seeing the scale and range has been really inspiring. I love the soft, vintage 50's feel of her botanical prints reminiscent of the work of Lucienne Day. Below are some images, the first screenprint I think I might have to save up for, more can be found at www.angielewin.co.uk.
I recently went to a wonderful wedding at Voewood a beautiful Arts and Crafts house in Norfolk, it had such a magical feel about it. Full of collections and quirky objects, it's jam packed to the rafters with shells, paintings, vintage furniture, animal hides, retro glass and china, it was a treasure trove of found objects. The next day I took a walk on the beach at Holkham and it was stunning, so peaceful and serene. Norfolk, I'm hooked!
